They brought everything but the snowshoes. They only had two days to transform the chalet into a recording studio and leave with an EP... and they did.
Presenting Skinny Leigh, Mt. Sutton Session. A collaboration of artists expressing commonality through music. The album is a travelogue for Singer/Songwriter Leigh Doerksen (aka. Skinny Leigh). It begins with his move from Northern Alberta to the East Coast (Shed The Skin) and ends with the first song he wrote when he moved to Montreal in May 2019 (Bordeaux & Marie-Anne). In between are reminders of self-love (Milk & Honey), love for our fellow humans (Trouble Be Steep), risks taken (Take A Chance) and pure honesty (Smoke 'n Secrets).
In the setting of a small chalet near Mt. Sutton,QC, Skinny Leigh and company captured these performances. Listen as if you were there in the woods, surrounded by snow, with a dog at your feet next to the crackle of the fireplace.
